CASHIER
Join our team as a Thrift Store Cashier and play a vital role in supporting our mission, Revelations of Freedom Ministries. Deliver friendly and efficient service to customers, handle cash and card transactions, and contribute to a positive shopping experience at our busy thrift store while making a difference.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Greet customers entering the Store ensuring each enters a friendly environment.
· Demonstrate qualities to promote a positive, clean work environment.
· Exhibit flexibility to help with various tasks as needed, such as pricing products between customers.
· Receive payment by cash or credit/debit cards. Maintain a high level of accuracy in cash management.
· Answer the phone, customer questions, and take messages.
· Other duties as deemed needed by the store manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be friendly, personable, mature and customer service focused with good discernment on proper customer interaction.
· Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, push, pull, and lift to 5-30 pounds and able to stand for long periods.
· Must be able to operate store register efficiently
· Must take directions well.
· Be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene.
· Must be supportive of working for a Christian Faith-based Ministry, accepting and committing to the Mission Statement of Revelations of Freedom Ministries and Thrift Stores.
· Must be able to work without immediate supervision.
· Good organizational skills.
· Must be honest and trustworthy with customer information and exchanges.
· Must be available to work 9:00-1:00 or 1:00-5:00, 20-24 hours a week.
APPAREL LEAD
Join our team as Apparel Lead and play a vital role in supporting our mission, Revelations of Freedom Ministries. Lead the apparel team by example and perform all duties required to accept, sort, and price donated items, and contribute to a positive shopping experience at our busy thrift store while making a difference.
Essential Functions of the Job
· Lead the apparel team in a positive work environment.
· Be able to perform any of the job duties within the apparel team or volunteers. This includes:
o accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.
o Reports directly to the Store Manager.
o Assist with training and retaining employees/volunteers.
o Must be able to appropriately set daily goals and meet established goals.
o Assist store manager with scheduling staff/volunteers.
o Train and help processing staff and volunteers to maintain a clean and well-organized store, bathroom, and processing areas.
o Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere for processing staff to promote further professional development and growth.
o Create store displays to highlight merchandise.
o Work with and effectively communicate with the Store Manager daily to ensure all the operational needs of the store are met.
o Must be available 32 hours a week.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Must be a people person with a pleasant and willing attitude and have a servant’s heart.
· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an excellent command of the English language.
· Must have a commitment to Revelations of Freedom Ministries and Thrift’s mission and mission statement.
· Must be detail-oriented, a problem solver, and have solid organizational skills.
· Must be a problem solver and be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and take initiative.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Strong ability to delegate tasks.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
