“I’ve been a volunteer at Freedom Thrift since the start. I prayerfully consider and discern which books we sell while strategically categorizing our books to create a cozy learning area that is easy to shop. This is for the edification of our community and I’m grateful for this opportunity. When we started out as a country, there were two books in each home: the constitution and the Bible. God is the beginning of knowledge, and this is where it starts.”

In 2019, Freedom Thrift, a 501(c)3 and single-member LLC (disregarded entity) was established by ROFM leadership and began on the first floor of our newly purchased building. With the overwhelming generosity of the community, Freedom Thrift quickly began to outgrow its space! Additional space to process the influx of donations was needed.
In the spring of 2020, employees and volunteers began construction of a pole barn on the complex that’s sole purpose was to be for processing. However, when the project reached completion in December of 2020, Freedom Thrift had outgrown its retail space. To accommodate, the decision was made to utilize the newly constructed pole barn as additional retail space, rather than processing.
Over the next year, donations continued to pour in and overflow Freedom Thrift’s processing areas! By the summer of 2021, Freedom Thrift had so many donations that seven, 18-wheeler cargo containers were stationed in its parking lot, filled to the brim with donations. As a result, Freedom Thrift rented a large outdoor event tent to be placed in its parking lot. For five months, they utilized that tent as additional retail space.
In December of 2021, a lease was signed for a second retail store in Lancaster County. Now, board members, staff, students, and the community, excitedly await to see the tremendous impact this location will have on men seeking life-long recovery!
When you shop at Freedom Thrift, you’re getting more than a good deal on unique finds! Proceeds from your purchase directly support Revelations of Freedom Ministries, uplifting and empowering men who are struggling with addiction to become disciples of Christ by teaching them to be productive in the workplace, using their earnings to bless others and glorify God while managing their life based on biblical principles.
We greatly appreciate each donation we receive! Every purchase made at our store allows us to continue this vital work! Thank you for your patronage!
